Add image items to My Links
Return to the Home Page
Site Settings--Edit Page
Add a Web Part--Select 'My Links'
Add a Web Part--Select 'Image Web Part'
Image Web Part--Edit--Connections--Get Image From--'My Links'
To remove the connection link
I add several URLs of images to the default LINKS. No description is filled.

When you click on a URL in the LINKS list, its image is shown in Image Web Part box.
