One Exchange Organization services several companies. Each company keeps its own registered domain name.
The Active Directory Domain name is Work.Com.
As shown, the domain controller is Paula.work.com, which has the Exchange 2003 installed. Two member 2003 servers are Ex20071 and Ex20072, which have the Exchange 2007 installed.

As shown, alias mail and alias autodiscover are created. In the production, the mail.work.com should be publically registered.
