All Microsoft Exchange Information Store services start without a glitch.

Create a new site: vSite and assign w2008.work.com to it.

Microsoft Information store service fails to start on both ex20071 and ex20072.

Why?

Site definition problem.

The IP address assignment is as follows:
Paula.work.com: 192.168.11.10/24
Ex20071.work.com:192.168.11.1/24
Ex20072.work.com:192.168.11.2/24

W2008.work.com:192.168.11.129/24

Solution:

Each site has its own subnet association.
